Greetings from Jeannie and I at Integrity Consulting Services. We trust this last season has seen great leadership rise up in your organization to overcome what ever challenges you face on the way to values-based prosperity.
This last twelve months has brought unprecedented change to the world, in many ways influenced by a global economic crisis. The world has been witness to what I believe are unprecedented lapses in ethical judgment which have had even more of a global impact than the combined moral failures of the last 50 years. This led Jeannie and I to deeply examine our vision of “providing people in every community in every nation the tools to ethically change their world for good”, and ask ourselves; how do we best achieve this?
In our partnership with you, our customer, we have spent considerable time leading and facilitating training initiatives, built upon a values based, consulting model. We trust this has been as rewarding for you as it has been for us. However, as we engaged diverse organizational leaders in both the profit and not-for-profit sector over the last year we have been witness to the expressed need of executives to change and adjust rapidly to a global economy that rapidly and significantly shifted. We heard questions such as:
How do we develop strategy to deal with such a rapidly changing global economy?
How do we adjust our short-term strategy quickly and effectively within quarterly time frames?
How do we drive the highest level of accountability?
How do we engage team members in a fear driven economy?
How do we bring about transformational change to take advantage of opportunities during an economic or any other crisis?
Another need we have been witness to over the last year, which has evolved from corporations taking on a global presence or hiring a more international workforce, is how to improve people’s global mindset to effectively lead and influence diverse ethnic groups. Having finished my Masters Degree in Organizational Development and Leadership in May 2009, my knowledge base relative to a variety of organizational development solutions and process has increased significantly. This has lead me to ask myself how can I make a bigger difference in helping our customers achieve success, in particular relative to global mindset and influencing people of various cultures? As a partial answer to this I will be presenting two papers on transformational leadership at the International Leadership Association’s Annual Conference in Prague this November. At this conference, I will also be listening to presentations by Dr. Mansour Javidan of the Thunderbird School of Global Management. I have talked to many of you about his research linking leadership and global mindset.
In order to provide us more opportunity to work with executive groups and expand our own global mindset, as of September 1, 2009, we have decided to discontinue our training division and focus my energy in providing organizational development consulting and coaching services to a smaller client base, working directly with executives in a consulting, advisory or coaching capacity. Such work may involve more focused work based upon a retainer fee agreement.
Although many of you are growing your own internal training and development resources, here is how we will be able to best support you as we transition out of our training service:
Jeannie will continue to provide leadership and direction to our on-line services and provide you with any Inscape Publishing credits for tools such as DiSC. Our Associate, Mr. Ed Grose will assume responsibility for our on-line surveys work, including existing 360 surveys. Jeannie will also be your contact for the provision of “The Leadership Challenge” materials.
We will connect you directly to our business partners such as The Ken Blanchard Companies should you desire external training expertise in Blanchard curriculum.
We will be working with a publisher to make our Ethics Awareness Training available to all in 2010.
Jeannie and I invite you to contact us with any questions you may have. Thank you for your support and partnership over the last eight years. We look forward to a continued relationship, which aids you in achieving your desired results.
